Pablo Escobar was born December 1st, 1949, in Antioquia, Columbia. Later on though, his family moved into the suburbs of Envigado. In his early life, Escobar grew up in a poor family, being the third out of seven siblings. His father was a farmer, and mother was a teacher. Escobar studied at the University of Autonoma Latinoamericana of Medellin shortly, before dropping out. As a child and teen, Escobar dreamed of being a millionaire and the president of Columbia. Escobar was a highly ambitious and driven child, wanting to do something in his life that would get him rich. To him, the only way of becoming a rich and powerful man was becoming involved with criminal activities. The first job Escobar took on was stealing gravestones, erasing the names, and selling them for profit. This criminal activity was just the beginning of his rise to power.
